Thinking back I’m not quite sure how the name for these pants came to me. I never used to name my designs anyway. That was until my clothing factory complained during production that a mere description of the style (perhaps one-sided wrap pants in this case), gets confusing and they need a more memorable reference. So here we have it, Wanda pants. I did once have a boyfriend who’s mum’s name was Wanda.. No that’s not it. I’m gonna go with the reason that’s simply because, it’s a ‘wanda’ I didn’t design them sooner ‘cos they’re straight up fabulous – insert smiley, blushing emoticon..

It might be chilly Winter but somehow, even still, the bare shoulder remains. With no complaint from SJ at all! We loved our Olivia dress so very much we hopped on the trend again with the shirt version. I love a peek-a-boo moment and it’s easiest when it’s the shoulder being shown. On trying to make the most of a recent stay in Cape Town, we woke up early to shoot some looks at Muizenberg Beach. It ended up being so super windy (extremely annoying with short hair), that I ended up closer to the water than I’d like, with wind swept hair and a constant stream of tears from sand, wind and sea. I can complain ‘cos I’m not a model – insert smiley face. I’ve sat with these shots for a while now wandering if they really speak for the designs..

So this is a super basic post about my fave and most basic black tank. Simple as they may be, these staples deserve a mention now and then. We were spending the day in Kalk Bay, Cape Town to shoot some outfits I had planned and this is just what I was wearing that day. The look is clean and true, detracted by nothing if my minimal accessorising and sunnies.
